On Monday, June 29th, 2024, we were thrilled to officially announce a partnership that has been years in the making: our alliance with Professor Jeff Mitchell of Elite Jiu Jitsu Delaware. This collaboration is more than just a professional connection; it’s a deeply personal one.

For over a decade, Professor Jeff has been a familiar face in Northern Ireland, visiting regularly and forging strong ties with the community. But in 2022, his connection to our country deepened even further when he brought his late father here on a cherished bucket list trip. That journey left a lasting imprint on Jeff, making Northern Ireland a place that resonates deeply with him.

Meanwhile, our own Head Coach, Justin McGibbon of Defiant Martial Arts, has been training alongside Jeff and his team in Delaware for several years and lived in Northern Ireland for over 10 years. Their bond has evolved beyond the mats, growing into a true friendship. This partnership was the next natural step, a way to bring together their shared passion for martial arts and their love for this community.

By joining forces, we aim to give back to the Northern Ireland community that has given so much to both Justin and Jeff. Together, we’re excited to embark on this journey and continue to strengthen the ties between Delaware and Northern Ireland, one training session at a time.
